Roxana is only 18 years old. She painted before learning how to read or write.
In the beginning, she used acrylic colors and then, at the age of 9-10, she
chose oil on canvas. Her paintings are as large as 79x79 inches. Roxana was
the first child in Romania to open a personal exhibition, an event closely
watched by the mass-media. She was highly praised in the world of Plastic
Art. Encouraged by cultural life celebrities , as well as the media, Roxana
Donisanu made a rapid ascension in the art world. She has been invited on
national television shows moderated by Mr. Adrian Paunescu and Mr. Ioan Cristoiu.
In a very short time there have been news written about her. She is destined
for fame like her predecessor Alexandra Nechita
In 1996 Roxana was accepted in the Henri Coanda "National Foundation" for the support of extremely talented teenagers. Between 1994-1999, she opened 14 one-woman exhibitions in art galleries and cultural institutions in the cities of Bucharest, Brasov, Cluj-Napoca, Buzau, Bacau. She impresses onlookers and critics with her unique style. Her paintings are not just a series of characters and symbols but represent a world filled with color and can be translated lyrically.
She takes part in national and international contests and, as proof of her talent, has won many prizes:
1994- Special Prize "Red Cross"
1995- "The 3rd Prize"-"Form and Color in Nature"
1996- National 1st Prize -Tulcea -1st place
1996- International 1st Prize "Flores-Juventutis"

Roxana is also an accomplished student and has received the 1st and 3rd prize
at The National Olympiad of Biology in 1999 and 2000.
